MedCities carries out multiple activities and participates in different events, the most relevant of them are listed below.

    Climate Change in the Mediterranean

    On February 23rd, MedCities participated in the Conference "Quelles solutions pour la Méditerranée?" organized in Paris by the French Government. The event was chaired by Ms Ségolène Royal, Minister Environment, Energy and Sea and in charge of International Relations on Climate and President of COP21.

    The meetings took place during the general Assembly of ARLEM in Malta.

    In our last General Assembly held in Tetuan, Morocco, MedCities members approved the entrance of new cities.

    New project launched in Nabeul for the formalisation of waste picking activities

    Last December the project "COOP - VERD" in NAbeul, Tunisia,  was approved for funding by the Municipality of Barcelona and will be carried out by MedCities, in cooperation with the Municipality of Nabeul and the "Association Eco-Tourism and Environment".

  • Pilot project on waste management launched in Bizerte

    Pilot project on waste management launched in Bizerte

    MedCities and the municipality of Bizerte in Tunisia, are implementing GeDeTun project for the reinforcement of the municipal capacities in waste management. This project, co-financed by the Municipality of Barcelona and the Barcelona Metropolitan Area, foresees the implementation of pilot projects in order to improve the management of waste collection and the environmental quality of the city.
