Workshop on ENI CBC Med 2014-2020 October 4th, 2016

"The European Neighbourhood Instrument 2014-2020 and the MedCities strategy". Tripoli, Lebanon. 4th October 2016

MedCities and its KTC of Al Fayhaa are organising a workshop  addressed to political and technical representatives of the MedCities members in Lebanon.

The Urban Community Al Fayhaa, MedCities, and its antenna in the Mashreq are willing to provide knowledge and tools to its members interested in participating at the ENI CBC Programs in order to accompany them in the definition of successful project proposals.

The European Neighbourhood Instrument will provide, in the following years, the framework and bulk of funding for the relations between the European Union (EU) and Partner Countries under the renewed European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP). Besides bilateral and multi-country programmes, support will be granted through cross-border cooperation of which the new ENI CBC "Mediterranean Sea Basin" Programme is part. According to the Programming document for Cross-Border Cooperation (CBC), € 1 billion is dedicated to the Mediterranean Sea Basin Programme.

The objectives of this workshop will be

  • To present the new ENI CBC "Mediterranean Sea Basin" Programme, its objectives and priorities
  • To provide key skills and resources to members interested in presenting a project
  • To introduce to the MedCities members the strategy of the network for the programme

-          Partnership: A balanced partnership, how to find reliable partners, lead applicants, co-applicants, associates.

  • Technical proposal: Logical framework, objectives results and activities. The importance of indicators.
  • Budget: how to draft a coherent budget, eligible costs, administrative procedures, financial management and audits.
  • Reporting: technical and financial reporting,ç interim and final reports
