    MedCities celebrates the board of directors meeting

    MedCities is managed and represented by a Board of Directors made up of 7 to 9 members: one President, five to seven members, and the Secretary General. A Vice-president and a Treasurer are designated. All the posts forming the Board of Directors are unremunerated. These are appointed and revoked by the Extraordinary General Meeting and their mandate lasts for four years.  The Board of Directors meets as often as is determined by its President and at the initiative or request of three of its members.

    MedCities supports the Municipality of Zgharta Ehden in its Covid response actions

    Thanks to the flexibility and quick response of the donor institution, the Municipality of Barcelona, MedCities was able to channel some of the available funding in supporting the valuable efforts of the Municipality in improving its crisis management unit, in promoting physical distancing for municipal services open to citizens and in supporting vulnerable groups by assuring food security.

    ASIMA Tunis ready to launch the elaboration of the City Development Strategy of Tunis

    Despite the difficulties derived from the pandemic, the ASIMA Tunis project was able to advance during its first six months of implementation. MedCities and the Municipality of Tunis have worked closely together, preparing the launch of a participatory process of strategic thinking and planning for the capital city of Tunisia.

    This online session brought together 30 representatives of 15 different local and regional governments from across the Mediterranean (*) to discuss the challenges of sustainable mobility affecting the Mediterranean area and to present The Handbook on Sustainable Mobility in the Med area, as a source of inspiration.
