    In the frame of the AI-NURECC initiative, a 18 months project co-financed by the EU, the Forum of the Adriatic and Ionian Cities (FAIC), operated by the Municiplaity of Ancona, organized the workshop "Cities and Cultural Heritage. Ideas and best practices for the Adriatic and Ionian Region", it took placed in Mostar (BiH) on 10th April 2019.

    Pioneering Urban Actions on Accesibility in Tanger and Tetuan

    On 2 April 2019, the final event of the ACCÉS TANGER-TÉTOUAN project was held in Tangiers, with the aim of promoting the exchange of knowledge and good practices on accessibility policies in Mediterranean municipalities, exposing the opportunities and responsibilities of local authorities in promoting accessibility in urban public spaces and facilities.

    MedCities participates in RevACTE project, under the leadership of the National Agency for Energy Management in Tunisia and coordinated by Ide-e, which aims at building the capacities of local authorities for the implementation of energy transition.

    On 18 March, the Spanish Ministry for Ecological Transition (MITECO) launched a project to take an integrated approach to the design of Coastal Protection Strategies for the Andalusian provinces of Almeria, Cadiz and Malaga.

    Capitalising on process in soustainable urban mobility

    On March 27 in Nicosia, as part of the Interreg-MED Urban Transports Community (UTC) activities, MedCities together with Codatu organized the deployment a one-day TechCamp, in the framework of the event CIRCLE/SMILE2019 ("Challenges for the Islands in the era of the Circular Economy" & "6th Sustainable Mobility & Intelligent Transport Conference"). It was adressed for UTC's members and stakeholders to present and test the ICT tools developed in its project activities and in the Mediterranean area.
